OMA Regional 3 Exhibition Highlights 2003
The Oceanside Museum of Art's regional art show had a record 607 pieces of artwork submitted for consideration, with only 33 pieces accepted for exhibition by the jurors. Diane was quite fortunate to have two paintings, “Del Dios Highway” and “Lake Hodges Drought” included in the exhibition. The jurors, Reesey Shaw, director of the Lux Institute in Encinitas, Tina Yapelli, director of the University Gallery at San Diego State University, and Mark Quint, director of the Quint Gallery in La Jolla chose 20 artists to be represented in this highly anticipated bi-annual show. |
Del Dios Highway, oil, 30" x 48", $1,100 |
Lake Hodges Drought, oil, 40" x 60", $2300 |
Other highlights of 2003 Diane was one of 20 featured artists in the corporate hospitality village at Super Bowl XXXVI in San Diego. In April she was a featured as a "refrigerator artist" at the annual downtown "art walk" festivities and participated in television publicity for that event. In August, she was selected for the first time to the distinguished Athenaeum Juried Exhibition in La Jolla. Her painting Del Dios Highway was featured.
