Peaceful 1 Acre Estate-Private Tennis Court & Pool

Located in beautiful San Diego north county, this one acre estate property is what San Diego vacation dreams are made of! Thoughtful design and décor create a comfortable and special place. The beautiful grounds will keep you outside day and night. The tennis court, pool, fire pits, comfortable beds, and office spaces make for a perfect vacation. Stay here to appreciate all that San Diego has to offer! All of this only 5 minutes off the 15 freeway!

This is a private gated estate property and very family friendly. The beautiful Felicita County Park is almost in our backyard. There is a back gate which makes easy access for walking to. It has hiking trails and 2 wonderful playgrounds for the kids. New this year are 2 pickle ball courts in the park.

Our neighborhood is zoned for one acre minimum residential, but has easy access (5 minutes) to the 15 freeway. You can hop on your mountain bike through the park to access bike and running trails.

The basic essentials, including coffee, are only provided for your arrival. You will need to make a quick trip to the store to buy paper products, trash bags, shampoo, soap for the laundry, etc. if you are staying longer than a few days.

We have recently installed a new Samsung 3 zone mini split system for heating and cooling year round comfort. The mini split system is different from central air conditioning a heating as it is not meant to be on 24 hours per day, but to heat or cool a zone while you are in that zone. It is also not a very efficient dehumidifier.

SWIMMING
POOL
The swimming pool is not heated or fenced. The solar cover keeps the pool very comfortable from May through mid-October. The pool is 3 feet deep on one end, 4 feet deep on the other end, and 5 feet deep in the middle. No diving is allowed due to the shallow depths of the pool. Please do not leave children unattended anywhere near the pool. A pool service comes one time per week to clean the pool and maintain the chemicals. You will need to use the leaf skimmer between services to remove the leaves that will blow into the pool.

Public transit is not convenient from the house.

We are 20 minutes to the
San Diego Zoo Safari Park, 25 minutes to Legoland, 30 minutes to the best beaches in California, and 90 minutes to Disneyland. Downtown San Diego is 30 minutes and our own small downtown Escondido has many restaurants, an art center, art galleries and under 10 minutes by car. 5 grocery stores are within 2 miles. Enjoy your days at the beach with our boogie boards, beach umbrellas, beach towels and chairs for your use. We have a basketball hoop and BB on the tennis court, croquet set to play in the front yard, board games, and toys for young children to play with. (Some pieces may be too small for very young children and would need to be kept out of reach to prevent a choking hazard.)

The entire home and property are yours to enjoy.

Although this is our primary family home, we store away most of our personal belongings into 3 locked closets. There are 3 empty closets to hang your clothes and completely empty dressers in the bedrooms for more clothes storage. We want you to unpack your suitcases and feel like this is your home.

There is a housekeeper who comes every other week. If you are staying for only 2 weeks, then she will clean before your arrival and after you leave. You can schedule her for additional service if you are staying longer and would like weekly cleaning. The pool maintenance person comes weekly (Wednesdays) and the gardener will come every other week. The trash is picked up early Monday mornings, so the cans need to be brought down to the street near the mailbox on Sunday night. Please be a good neighbor and bring the cans back up near the garage sometime on Monday.

The gas grill needs to be cleaned after each use to try to prevent an ant invasion. Once they make it to the grill, it is hard to keep them from the house. Please no bacon on the grill.

We have a new propane firepit table in the back patio for your enjoyment. If you use the 2 fire pits, please be very attentive to the fires and make sure they are completely extinguished before leaving them for the night. We are in a severe drought and the threat of wildfires is very high.

The basic essentials, including coffee, are only provided for your arrival. You will need to make a quick trip to the store 1 1/2 miles away to buy paper products, trash bags, shampoo, soap for the laundry, etc. if you are staying longer than a few days.
